After 15 years of development MenuetOS the first stable release annonced and is written only on assembler. There are x64 and x86 builds and they can be launched by QEMU. Basic build is 1 Mb only.
System supports preemptive multitasking, uses SMP on multythreating systems and it also has built-in GUI with themes and Drag&Drop support. It also has special IDE for assembly dev. USB, Printers, Ethernet, web-cameras are also supports.
Simple web-browser email and ftp clients, apps to open photos, editing texts, working with files, watching videos and listening to music are included. It also has an opportunity to launch DOS-emulator and games such as Quake and Doom.
